I have been teaching for over fourteen years. I started out teaching preschool, but I have been teaching first grade at Hilltop for ten years. I received my Masters in Education from Xavier University in 2004 and my first year after that was spent at Elm School as a long-term substitute in both first grade and fourth grade. I liked teaching preschool and fourth grade, but I love teaching first grade!
I grew up in Findlay, Ohio, but I have lived in Wyoming for over 27 years. My family and I live close to the school. In fact, you might see me walking to school if the weather is nice!
My husband Bill and I have three grown children, Jordan, Megan and Dylan. Jordan is living in California and works as a screen writer. Dylan is working and going to school in Pittsburgh. Megan, our daughter, recently graduated from college and is living and working in Burlington, VT. We also have a dog named Hank and a cat named Gracie.
When I am not teaching, I love to travel, read, exercise, and garden.
